Money--You Can look At It Two Ways (Coming In-Going Out)

Let's talk money.  It's either going to be coming into your pocket or going out to pay for all kinds of unforseen expenses.  Doesn't it make good sense to be proactive about where your money winds up?
Every day there are hundreds of slips and falls in public places resulting in serious injuries.  Every day there are hundreds of lawsuits filed against businesses who were "negligent" and supposedly caused the patron to fall because they (the business owner) did not take precautions to ensure that the floors would be safe to walk on even if they happened to get wet.
So often times a business owner is relunctant to spend money on solving a problem before it really exists.  But what if the gamble that there won't be a problem turns out to be a huge loss?  What if someone does fall and is injured and then files suit?
Most courts WILL rule on the side of the plantiff.  Why?
As our Corporate Attorney states:
"As a general rule of law, if an owner or possessor of a premises is aware of a dangerous condition, which could foresee ably harm an invitee and if he has been put on notice that there is a means to prevent such harm, then it could be inferred that should an accident result in an invitee being harmed, the possessor, owner of the property, would be charged with having the knowledge to correct the defective or accident-causing condition. As a result, the owner may be held to a higher standard of care and his probabilities of being held liable, and for damage against him are likely to be greater."
Don't wait.  With the arrival of spring comes thunderstorms and plenty of rain, which means water being tracked in onto your floors on a steady basis.
